Paradise Cheeseburger Pizza

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough, thawed to package directions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, diced (optional)
  • ½ lb hamburger meat
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 oz. cheese, mixture of cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan
  • 3 tablespoons regular mustard
  • 1-2 teaspoons cornmeal

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat Wok and Pizza Stone Inserts to low heat, between 200°F -250°F, on the STOK® Grill. If using the STOK® Tower, click here for heating tips.

Step 2

If you are using a single insert grill grate model, insert the Wok only.

Step 3

To cook onions (optional): In Wok, add butter and onions and sauté onions until softened and translucent. This will take about 8-10 minutes. Remove onions and place onto paper-towel lined plate. Carefully, wipe out Wok with paper towel.

Step 4

Add hamburger meat to Wok Insert and cook over medium heat, 300°F -350°F until browned thoroughly. While cooking, season the meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Step 5

When meat is finished cooking, remove Wok from the grill. Drain excess fat from meat and let cool.

Step 6

If using a single insert grill, insert the Pizza Stone now. Use two oven mitts to do this in order to avoid injury.

Step 7

Follow directions on pizza dough package. Dust a pizza peel with cornmeal and lay the dough on top.

Step 8

Using a spoon, spread mustard all over dough, leaving a ½" border. Sprinkle hamburger meat and onions all over the mustard. Now sprinkle the cheeses over the meat.

Step 9

Once the grill is heated, use a pizza peel or thin cutting board to transfer the pizza to the Pizza Stone, close the grill lid and cook until crust is golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 10

Remove with pizza peel and serve.
